our grade 2 teacher's edition set (te's) includes 3 full-color, spiral-bound volumes each containing 10 sequential phonics lessons. the back cover of each te is constructed of a firm card stock, enabling teachers to hold the book folded back as a single page while delivering scripted, explicit instructions.
the 95 phonics core program® provides systematic instructional practices for whole class instruction that are grounded in the science of reading and the principles of structured literacy. the 25 weekly lessons are designed to be taught for 30 minutes daily as part of a comprehensive reading and language arts curriculum. 95 phonics core serves as a phonological awareness, phonics, and word study strand that enriches other important components of a school’s existing literacy program, including read-alouds, oral language and vocabulary development, reading of authentic text, comprehension instruction, and process writing.
this 3-volume teacher's edition set does not include the grade 2 student manipulatives kit (ph4002.03), sound spelling cards (ph4002.04), student workbooks (ph4002.05) or the digital presentation (ph4002.08.22). schools may elect to purchase these components individually using the respective product codes or order the 95 phonics core grade 2 classroom set (ph4002) as a complete package which includes: the teacher's editions (3 volumes); student workbooks (in packs of 5) and manipulative sets (in packs of 5); grade 2 sound spelling cards, assessments, parent instructions, a product training video, a one-year subscription to the digital presentation files and additional teacher support.
