data science analyst

the data science analyst will work closely with senior management, playing a crucial role in transforming raw data into actionable insights that will drive informed decision-making across the organization. this individual’s analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to communicate complex findings in a clear manner will be essential in helping the company execute its growth strategy. responsible for prescriptive insights, solving business problems through advanced analytics, generating reports, building dashboards to closely monitor performance metrics, and providing actionable takeaways. reporting to the director of finance with a dotted line to the vp of corporate development and strategy, the data science analyst will play a critical role in driving the organizational scale and success.

 key responsibilities:

• lead the development and implementation of advanced analytics including customer segmentation, retention, optimization, and prescriptive analytics to solve business problems
• use data to predict market and customer behavior with actionable insights to address an evolving competitive landscape
• gather, validate, and organize data from various sources, ensuring data integrity and accuracy
• employ a range of statistical and analytical methods to explore large datasets, identifying patterns, trends, and insights
• develop predictive models to make accurate forecasts and drive actionable insights
• collaborate with cross-functional partners to understand their business needs, formulate and complete end-to-end analysis that includes ongoing scaled deliverables and presentations
• monitor key performance indicators (kpis) and metrics, providing periodic reports on business performance, and identifying areas for improvement
• develop automated reporting tools to streamline data analysis and reporting processes
• utilize data visualization techniques to create informative and visually appealing reports, dashboards, and presentations
• assist in the development of strategies and initiatives based on data insights to drive business growth and efficiency
• continuously improve technical and leadership skills through training and development

 skills and qualifications: 

• bachelor's degree in analytics, engineering, computer science, statistics, economics, math, information systems, business, or related field
• 4+ years of experience in data science, data analytics, business analytics, sales operations, or related field
• proficient in data analysis tools and programming languages such as sql, python, r, or similar
• strong knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., tableau, power bi) and excel
• familiarity with database management systems and data warehousing concepts
• experience in applying machine learning algorithms, deep learning frameworks, and statistical modeling techniques
• familiarity with implementation of business intelligence (bi) tools 
• strong leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams, develop talent, and engage with executives
• excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to a variety of stakeholders
• strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a strategic mindset and attention to detail
• ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a focus on results and adaptability
• demonstrated experience in fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, execution, and continuous improvement within an organization
